  13. <A NAME="HowTo"><H3>How to Play King's Corners</H3>
  14. The goal of King's Corners is to put all the face cards into their assigned slots around 
  15. the edges of a square, with the Kings in the corners.
  16. <p>
  17. Push the <b>New Game</b> button to start a new game.  Tap the deck to deal the first
  18. card. Then tap any square on the playing board to place the card in that
  19. position.  The next card in the deck will then be dealt.
  20. <p>
  21. You must fill all 16 slots on the playing board. If the card
  22. you're playing is not a face card, you can play it anywhere.  If it is a King, however,
  23. it must be played in a corner (positions marked with a 'K').  Queens must be played in
  24. the middle positions of the top or bottom rows (marked with a 'Q'), and Jacks
  25. must be played in the middle positions of the side columns (marked with a 'J').
  26. <p>
  27. After you've filled all 16 slots, you must remove cards from the board to make
  28. room for more cards.  You may remove only 10s and pairs of cards which add up to 10.
  29. Remove the 10s by tapping on them with the pen.  To remove a pair of cards that
  30. add up to 10, tap one after the other.   
  31. <p>
  32. When you've removed all the cards you can, tap the deck again to deal the next card.
  33. Again, deal out cards until you fill all 16 slots.  Repeat
  34. filling up the slots and removing cards that add up to ten.
  35. If you can play all the face cards to their assigned slots you win the game (even
  36. if there are still cards left in the pack).  However,
  37. if you turn up a face card when there is no open position for it, or if you fill up
  38. all the slots and no cards can be removed (because no cards add up to ten), then you
  39. have lost.
  40. <p>
  41. The <b>Undo</b> button is available only when removing cards that add up to
  42. ten.  <b>Options</b> allows you to disable or enable the sounds and messages, 
  43. and select a card deck design.  The <b>Statistics</b> button lets you check 
  44. your track record over multiple games.
  45. <h4>Tips and Strategies</h4>
  46. Although there is a great deal of luck involved, you can improve your chances
  47. to win by placing cards to maximize the chance of an open position where you'll
  48. need it.
